just looking for some feedback on that, thinking about replacing our current intro with this one.

feedback as always welcome.

Looks good. A couple of things though:

It might just be me, but I think the particle explosion type thing, could be slightly more grandiose?

The part where the red background comes in, I think should come in earlier, where the text comes in. I don't know, but it seems to settle down and reanimate too many time.

Saying that, I think it looks really good!

that text and red glow are going to be punctuated with a noise, like a thump , so its swish for the logo then BANG, BANG.

Yeah you might be right I do need to mess with the emmiters, will play around with it some more and post what iv got when i have it compiled.

Good work. What software did you use to create the intro?

Looks cool. Don't like that out of focus bit near the end though...makes my eyes go funny lol.

I agree with Ross. A quicker swipe, and never stop the action - people will think it's over when it's not.

I also think you should make more abuse of sound. You have that first pad, keep it going for the next blows. Always accent them with some special sound effect.
I for one think that evil looking face deserves something a bit more rocky, like a drum + guitar hit.

I like watching professional logos for reference.

See how the action never stops until you're supposed to be done and ready to see the logo in its fullness.

I like the logo, but it seems totally unrelated to the particle effect and the two look out of place together.

oO?? nice!!

Actually, come to think of it, you're kinda throwing your identity off the window. Where's the "Cruel Development" attitude?

Take a look at this, from NeverSoft: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKvKlgfAweU
It defines what this business is about.

You should find your business' theme and figure the best way to present this theme to the viewer with sound and motion graphics. This is also a good way to see if your company has an appropriate theme.

For instance, I'd never be comfortable having a company with that heavy-metal style. I'm totally into something exccentric\refined like UbiSoft: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRQX5nS2f4k

What I really wanted to do was have a large square rock under a spot light, and then a little bomb character walks in, gives the camera an evil look and then his fuse goes, BOOM, particles go flying and our logo gets revealed.

But I absolutely suck at animation, its not one of my strong suits so ..

Anyway I'm still working on it, I agree with some of the comments above and im not happy with it yet so, still tinkering :)

You can always hire *cough* someone *cough* to do it just like you wanted, with both the graphics and sound.

(wink-wink)

Logo looks good :) it is quite basic but does the job! I dunno if the bomb character and skull would fit as one is mischievous and the other is quite sinister looking. Kinda like mixing Tom and Jerry with Batman!

here is a new video, oh and I scrapped the intro and made a fresh one, which I am now keeping dont want to waste any more time on video editing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CH6OIpao2CU

Video shows the bullet patterns the player will need to dodge, at least all the patterns I have in the code at the moment, I do have another 10 or so to add to round it off to a nice 20 or so unique patterns.

I also plan to give each alien(class) a pattern array, so they will be able to use more than one pattern and potentially chain some cool patterns together.

feedback as always welcome. I was gona stop posting to this thread but it's kinda motivating me so , you might see a few more posts lol.

Much better. What did you use to make the glowy lines drawing the logo?

Paul "Taiphoz"(Posted 2012) [#15]
AfterAffects, handy video edditing tool, can do some really amazing stuff with it if you put the time into it.

agree, much better :)
