I don't know if this is right or not for you locale, but here in the US we spell it infantry, you have an extra e in there.

Obviously, if it is spelled that way in the UK or something, then my comment is null and void.

I did notice that you spelled armor the US way, and not armour, which is how they spell it in the UK (I think).

Anyway, just trying to help.

Alright, thanks for that! We always appreciate native speaker's comments! :)

BTW: This is developed with Monkey.

Looks like an interesting game.
infantry
In the UK it's only spelt with a 'e' (and a few other letters) after drinking lots of alcohol or a bang on the head (usually both resulting in double vision).

Good Job!

Some more screenshots. We've worked on some editors for maps and the units itself (which are in German because they won't be public anyway):

The unit editor:

The map editor:

It's now possible to set borders (which are visible around the river).

The game:

The editors are done in BlitzMax btw. :)

If I were drinking right now my monitor would be all splashed.

Nice work with the game. Is the game itself written in BMax?

Looks fun - Give us a playable demo!

Reminds me of one of my favo'u'rite 80's games on the ZX Spectrum which was popular in Europe- 'Stonkers'?

Looks good. Looking forward to seeing this one finished.

Xaron(Posted 2011) [#11]
Thanks guys! :)

@Kryzon: The game itself is done with Monkey, the editors with BlitzMax.

That's cool Xaron. I am interested in making a hex based game - any tips or resources you can point me to?

Xaron(Posted 2011) [#13]
Ahhh totally missed that one wmaass. Any specific questions? I can give you tons of hints I guess. ;) I might add some blog postings on my blog...

The AI works. Was quite tough with all that pathfinding and so on...

Human player:

Computer (please note that this is some kind of a debug view, that's why there is the path to the target marked and so on...):
