Sweet, I've got my first zombie doing his exercises, all thanks to Pacemaker available here:-

here is a zombie doing his sit-ups, with the ragdoll still being strung up in the exercise interlude, at the back is a wall I textured using GIMP & UU3D - it is a pretty low rez texture but its my first attempt:
