..here is new shots from exterior part of level 11...noticable is tiling over cliffs but its okay since its not final one and i just wanted to set up light properly..no additional postprocessing applied yet..after normalmaps, glow, dof and motion blur, it will be way better as well as some environment..anyway, here is a 'naked' level..im a bit slowed down since im working in parallel, same geometry, both Unity3D and B3D..I hope you like it..

Awesome!

The spikey rocks could do with a few less texture repetitions, but I love the style ;) Nice work.

deps(Posted 2008) [#4]
That looks great!

John Blackledge(Posted 2008) [#5]
Looking good.

Looking good.

chwaga(Posted 2008) [#8]
nice! how'd you do that lighting in blitz3d?? it looks like dx9!

Reactor(Posted 2008) [#9]
DX9 looks like a lightmap?

Stevie G(Posted 2008) [#10]
Very nice.

John Blackledge(Posted 2008) [#11]
"DX9 looks like a lightmap?"

Doesn't matter.
Show what can be done with care and attention.

Panno(Posted 2008) [#12]
awesome !

created with ?

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#13]
thanks for comments guys..its created with 3DSMAX+Vray+Pipeline+B3D
I will post new screens once water, normalmaps, dof, glow and environmental vfx are added..

My point was it doesn't look dx9 at all... it looks like dx7 with a lightmap.

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#15]
..so DX9 looking different with assigned lightmap??

Reactor(Posted 2008) [#16]
Sorry Naughty Alien, I don't quite catch your meaning. Can you put that another way?

Your level looks great... it just doesn't look like something dx9 specific at the moment.

Yahfree(Posted 2008) [#17]
naughty games.... : \

Looks great!

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#18]
@ Reactor
What im saying is that level should look absolutely same, doesnt matter rendered with DX7 or DX9, if no postprocessing are used..just plain level, difuse + Lightmap...I cant see why DX9 going to make it looking better under condisions exposed here...I have try it in S2 and Unity..no difference at the moment(no postprocessing involved)..

Reactor(Posted 2008) [#19]
Sure, I agree... except that I thought chwaga's comment might have been about dx9-like soft shadowing.

Hotshot2005(Posted 2008) [#20]
very good and I have keep learning 3DS MAX 2008 as I know it isnt easy to models things!

chwaga(Posted 2008) [#21]
No, I meant that it looks like there are shaders on the terrain...

MadJack(Posted 2008) [#22]
Looks good NA - it's amazing how good use of colour and lighting can draw the eye in.

People go on about DX9, but if you don't have good art, shaders won't save you!

t3K|Mac(Posted 2008) [#23]
DX9 is way more than simple shaders.. when do people understand this?

Kryzon(Posted 2008) [#24]
Awesome [2]
What program\tutorial did you use to lightmap it?

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#25]
@rafael_blitz
..well..there is no tutorial but tools used for this, are 3dsmax, Vray renderer and exported trough pipeline..

Mortiis(Posted 2008) [#26]
Everything looks just fine except the textures on pillar shaped 2 meshes.

They need to be scaled up a bit(textures). Looks too repetitive.

scribbla(Posted 2008) [#27]
looks good
i think ive said this before but, love that rock texture

nice sky ;)
