.
I'm not very accurate or patient.
NOTE: I'm not editing this, so don't tell me to. Please.

Yahfree(Posted 2007) [#2]
Interesting, mine was worse... it takes alot of talent to draw nice stuff with plain color/pixel square stuff

LineOf7s(Posted 2007) [#3]
You call it the worst.

You say you're not interested in making it better.

...

Why did you post it?

Naughty Alien(Posted 2007) [#4]
LOL

Robert Cummings(Posted 2007) [#5]
Cos it rocks.

Fuller(Posted 2007) [#6]
So... What's it for?

GfK(Posted 2007) [#7]
Cool. A pencil with arms. :)

Yo! Wazzup?(Posted 2007) [#8]
I was thinkin of putting it in a game, until I saw how ugly it was.

And that's what I should name it, Armedpencil.

Yo! Wazzup?(Posted 2007) [#9]
I was going to try to use it in a game, but when I realised how ugly it was, I decided not to.

And, Armedpencil would be a nice name for it.

Nathaniel(Posted 2007) [#10]
Wow...

How long did you spend on it?

LineOf7s(Posted 2007) [#11]
Hrmmm.

Double post, written out twice... differently... an hour apart.

clownhunter(Posted 2007) [#12]
I can't tell if it's a rocket, a pencil, or some sort of animal. :/

Naughty Alien(Posted 2007) [#13]
..looking like cow tits to me...but maybe its beerrr...

Yo! Wazzup?(Posted 2007) [#14]
Sorry about the double post, when I first tried to post it I got an error, so an hour later I tried it again and it worked. Wonder what that was all about.

Ummm... wow, it's that bad. (It's supposed to be a rocket)

Oh, and I spent about 5 minutes on it.

Torrente(Posted 2007) [#15]
Oh, and I spent about 5 minutes on it.

Which partly explains why it's so terrible.

Tyler(Posted 2007) [#16]
I often find that people criticize my work, and in posting I open myself to opinions. The best thing I can tell you is to learn which crits are worth listening to, and truly take them to heart if you want to get better. Otherwise, for a first try, not too shabby. Looks like a rocket (almost thought of a crayon) with arms and some burn at the aft end.

The best way to get better is to observe and understand what's going on behind the scenes. I suggest looking up many pixel artist's works and analyzing them for your own benefits. Good luck and post as often as you like to show us your progress :D

Nathaniel(Posted 2007) [#17]
Oh, and I spent about 5 minutes on it.

Ya, figures :)

Tip: You won't ever create good art work if you expect to spend 5 minutes on it. (Unless you can click at 300mph.) The art I recently created took me over 6 hours to get how it is:

I don't think I'm ever going to actually be a pixel artist. I just wanted to try out the task - see if it could help me.

CS_TBL(Posted 2007) [#19]
ppz, he's young, very young. Remember your own paper drawings when you were very young? Kids draw stick-figures with fork-hands, and landscapes with trees 'n houses and a thin blue line on top of the paper to represent the whole blue sky.
Analyzing gfx from other games is like telling a 7yo beginner piano student to study what Chopin does.. :P

big10p(Posted 2007) [#20]
How do you know how young he is? Anyway, when I was 4, I was drawing isometric houses and making them in clay, too. There's no excuse! :P

CS_TBL(Posted 2007) [#21]
3 months ago he was 9. (see B+ beginners, page 2, chatterbox)

big10p(Posted 2007) [#22]
Chatterbox?

CS_TBL(Posted 2007) [#23]
did you click "B+ beginners, page 2" ? :P

big10p(Posted 2007) [#24]
Weird. When I first looked, I couldn't see a 'chatterbox' thread. :/

/me gets his glasses

Nathaniel(Posted 2007) [#25]
Whoa... loads of wasted posts on that thread.
