I'm working on a game...convieniently (spell check?) named THE GAME (hey, I'm not creative in names). I finished my first clip a few days ago and stuck it on youtube...my site server won't accept the format .wmv. It's just a camera fly-by of the governor (my super-evil-bad-guy-villian-type-man-dude-guy).

here's the URL (by the way, how do you html code a link {i know the code for it} into forum software, same with images and all, i havent figured out how to work these forums quite yet, so i've just got a URL)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6FV6om-p0M

any comments, opinions, critiques, are all appreciated

It looks like a lego character, is that what it is meant to be?

It looked like the cloth on his head was moving, was that lighting or do you have a cloth material handler of some sort?

chwaga(Posted 2007) [#4]
it was a lego character, i decided to do legos to have a lame excuse for the graphics (organic creatures make me shiver...I HATE NURMS and NURBS)

Also, it was supposed to be a cloak, billowing in the wind slightly

haven't quite figured out how to put a clicky on these forums yet...ack!)

Looks like it worked just fine. all you do is post the URL, and as long as you start it with http:// , the forum automatically makes a link out of it.

anyway, regarding the clip: great sounds. graphics: not my taste, but looks decent. Be aware that more than likely the Lego company will go after you if they get wind of you making a game with charaters so obviously based on their IP without getting their permission...

(i meant getting the link as a different word, the result of the html: <a href="clicky.com">clicky</a> )

Also, as long as i don't use the word "Lego" IN it, they can't touch me, also, I'm not marketting or widely distributing it, so the odds of them even knowing of its exhistance are low, and even to they do know, they arent going to waste the resources on something as trivial as this.

What are the forum codes?

Yo! Wazzup?(Posted 2007) [#8]
or, if you don't want to search through the fourm codes,
(replace all < with [ and all > with ])
<a http://www.whatever.com>hi</a>

Don't count on it... all the off-brand copies all tend to use different proportions and such so they aren't seemed 'confusingly similar'

Don't count on it

What about mega blocks? AFAIK nothing happened to them and they were the exact same thing as legos, just cheaper.
