i'm back again with a new character pack,

I bought this the other day. I created a thread for it but it got deleted.

What's with the Blitz3d screenshot? Where's the reflection? How come we cannot see up her skirt?

Puki makes a good point - how come no reflection?
And is there lighting/shadowing with dx lights?
I remember there was none when I tried out some MD2 models.

Just a to add though - these models are great in B3D.

In fact, you get a wide range of model formats in the download.

Always quality stuff from Cubix.

the reflection is actually down there on the floor:



i'm not not sure why this happens though,
maybe i accidently change something on the script.. ??

about an additional texture pack,
yes i have a plan to do it also :D

1st edit:
i just found out that i'm using:

PositionEntity dragon,0,10,0
instead of:
PositionEntity dragon,0,0,0

i think it fix the problem :P
this is what happens when an artist doing some code hohoho.....

Very nice work. definitely one for the bookmarks, with a revisit! flag.

As a future request I'd love to see some generic bad guys such as SWAT guys, taliban fighters, bodyguards, cia guys in a suit etc., the "usual suspects".

btw, beside bad guys.... what else do you think might interest you ??

i was thinking to make a boy/girl/children for my next pack, but bad guys seems interesting also ?

i got several ideas from email & forum that i gather in here.

btw, i'm not so sure about the dx7 compliant thing....
basically what i did is only exporting my character from 3ds max with B3D exporter :P
maybe puki could help you answer the question, since he is the one who have lots of experiment with b3d model

i'd have a look at the .x exported animated model. how does it look like? can you make a small video? b3d only can load non-boned .x animations. thats why i am interested how the animation is going to look like.

i tried to open the DirectX version with Deep Exploration,
and it works ok & all the animation works fine with the player, does that count ??

sorry for the image quality, i have no idea how to rotate the light source in Deep Exp

that does not count ;) i'd like to see it in blitz3d. but i don't think this will work, cause auf skeleton in the model. hmm i have to go with boned-b3d format i think...

Edzup is right, climbing would be nice. Then again, you have to modify/add animations anyway. So adding a climbing animation wouldn't be a big deal, IF there's a useful art path. I think at least with pacemaker this won't be a problem.

I don't think this .X file is dx7 compilant, watch the knees, definitely bones and not rotate/scale/move child stuff.

The reason why I ask for bad guys is, in a fps mission they are 90% of the people you ever meet. And this should not become too repetive.

Tho, since my main actor is still female, I'm thinking about to buy this model as well. But I'd have to add some fire to her currently dreaming eyes. As well as some kind of special ops clothes. (wait a minute, I needed her in pants, hmmm..)

EDIT - ehrm, female pack 1 seems to be the better choice for my needs.

And while we're at it, I am still looking for an excellent FPP gun hand. It should be relative low poly, wearing a cool leatherglove (I may provide texture raw material). Can't offer a lot, but wouldn't mind if it's sold non-exclusively. should contain a lower arm.

btw, about the animation i plan to make more and more animation in the future, it will take a while though, since i'm also still learning to animate :P
