when modeling the arms and legs take a look at this, you should be ok with the joins as they are but its worth keeping in mind. good work though!

oooh thanks for the tip. you know i have run into that problem many times when animating. i'll be sure to implement that from now on! Very cool!

overall Volume of the model is good ,but too many edges on the legs and arms against the rest
by the way: petes tip is from ben mathis ,on his site he has tons of good tutorials and videos

I have a male body mesh but mine is 5500 polys.

It looks right but the bottom parts of the legs are much too thick.
