Help me make some Smoke :)

Here's a smoke generator that's controlled by an .INI file. Alter the ini file then rerun the smoke.exe. I'm looking for the most realistic smoke possible. Stuff like rise rate, billow, etc.

Almost everything is per second and measured in meters (1 unit in Blitz3D).

Please post your settings that you think makes the most convincing smoke that would result from a bomb exploding.

Here's the default smoke settings:

num_of_emitters=1
emitter_spacing=1
particles_per_second=6
particles_start_size=1
particle_expand_rate=1
particle_rise_rate=6
particle_drift_rate=1
particle_fade_rate=0.05
spin_rate=90
spin_decrease_rate=0.5
min_spin_rate=20

Here's my fav so far, a nice thickly burning "after bomb drop" settings:

num_of_emitters=1
emitter_spacing=1
particles_per_second=12
particles_start_size=2
particle_expand_rate=2
particle_rise_rate=6
particle_drift_rate=3
particle_fade_rate=0.05
spin_rate=90
spin_decrease_rate=0.5
min_spin_rate=20

Heavy with random drifting to add volume.

Want thick? This is thick:

num_of_emitters=1
emitter_spacing=1
particles_per_second=40
particles_start_size=1
particle_expand_rate=4
particle_rise_rate=20
particle_drift_rate=10
particle_fade_rate=0.05
spin_rate=90
spin_decrease_rate=0.5
min_spin_rate=20

Looks nice.

I like Topknot's smoke. Needs some turbulence to keep it from coming out all cone shaped though.

Lol Lenn,

Meant thincker than a whisps that it first produced, yet still managable as an FX for a smoldering fire. ;)

Not sure why there's the option for more than 1 emitter, when in fact it's just a clone of the first, offering no true varience unless he supplies more variables or mix and match.

Topkot ;)
