Weekly modeling competition: Head

Model the most gruesome, disgusting, fiendish head ever.

Im saying only modelling, no texture (you can do if you want, but i aint grading it), altough normal map on a low poly head is acceptable. No poly limits, just pure modelling.

Some ideas to get you started:
Kerboros
Half crushed head
Spider head
Bush's head *cough* (j/k)
Head of the Queen in 'Aliens'

well you get the picture, dunno if 1 week is enough, so lets try 2 weeks.

and if you want true objective comments, ill give them only if u ask

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#2]
1 week is the rule.

Pongo(Posted 2004) [#3]
Go away,...

Contest starter makes the rules,... 2 weeks it is.

Bob3d(Posted 2004) [#4]
ack...me no time...a pitty...heads are my fav...have done a load, but can't start new free stuff.

anyway, have allways a load of stuff to get into this thing...

anyway, i think 2 weeks is rather better...

Ion-Storm(Posted 2004) [#5]

CodeD(Posted 2004) [#6]
Can you Ion??

Anyone think these should be monthly, and tied into the newsletter ?

The newsletter needs more features like this, also, there is no reason to constrict it to 3d everytime. Perhaps next one could be "draw a small comic sketch with 3 cells, related to the blitzmax situation".. could be fun.

I might enter this one, mebe.

I suggested this already. no one realyl took notice though and a few people sort of slanted me for it.

I still think its a good idea though.

If its made monthly then it would probably be a good idea to have it stickied for that month, so its not lost and forgotten.

skn3(Posted 2004) [#10]
Yeah I agree (about it being sticky)

poopla(Posted 2004) [#11]
I agree, I'd join. I have some light skill... but NONE that compares to anyone elses on short term.

HNPhan(Posted 2004) [#12]
thats a great idea, ill be rooting for it

Bob3d(Posted 2004) [#13]

I'd have it way more easier to find a moment for that...if I'm something is cartoonist/drawing person...:) 3d came as a need... argh.

[Include it in newsletter...cool, hehe... :) ]

But 3d removes much time for me, while a quick humoristic or realistic drawing is done in a minute...:)

wizzlefish(Posted 2004) [#15]
who started the weekly modeling comp?

po(Posted 2004) [#16]
halo.

wizzlefish(Posted 2004) [#17]
ok

Agamer(Posted 2004) [#18]
Noel, I've seen that twice now!

N(Posted 2004) [#19]
Agamer: So?

jhocking(Posted 2004) [#20]
So give him a cookie!

N(Posted 2004) [#21]
Don't have any on-hand, can I borrow one of yours?

Chroma(Posted 2004) [#22]
Looks like that head had one too many cookies as it is.

HNPhan(Posted 2004) [#23]
hey look at that, 1 entry, guess Noel wins it by default

Pongo(Posted 2004) [#24]
heh,... slim pickings this time,... 23 posts (now 24) and only 1 entry.

These last 2 weeks have been crazy for me,... we've been moving the office so I have not had any time, but I wanted to photoshop a mug shot and texture it on a single quad to see if I'd get any votes! hehehe!

Hope the next comp does better, or we might just have to call it for a while.
