Made in about an hour in wings 3d. Please tell me what you think. =)

EDIT

The thing on his head is a pair of goggles if you hadn't realised.

Cool. I kind of miss a ww1 pilot cap with the goggles. Now show this with textures :) How many polygons?

Ruz(Posted 2004) [#3]
thinkt the torso is a a bit too long. boots could be a more interesting shape and the head could do with some work.
but looking quite good so far

elseano(Posted 2004) [#4]
Thanks. Yeah, the head really needs some work. It's at 1584 triangles so far. I think I can optimise that a LOT though, considering I messed up the hair. I have an earlier version to work with though so I can sort that out quite easily.

I honestly have no idea what sort of texture I'm going to go for. Any ideas?

Make an evil science genius. Or a spaceman.

Anyway, I would go for the sci-fi look.

Who was John Galt?(Posted 2004) [#6]
Needs a scarf

elseano(Posted 2004) [#7]
I had a very vague idea for the model before I started, but now I think he looks more like some sort of snowboarder. I could always try a few textuers with different accesories ie. gun, snowboard and see what it looks like.

I'll post the textures when I start them.

perhaps you could use use transparent poly planes for the hair

elseano(Posted 2004) [#9]
I'm actually having quite a lot of trouble with the texturing...I think I'm going to buy that Unwrap program. What's it called again? Does anyone have a link to it?

- is this the one you are talking about?

elseano(Posted 2004) [#11]
Ah yes, that was it. Thanks.

Regular K(Posted 2004) [#12]
It looks rather cartoonish but its hard to tell with a skin. It looks nice :)

wizzlefish(Posted 2004) [#13]
I think it is supposed to be cartoonish.

Red Ocktober(Posted 2004) [#14]
