How many polygons are we talking? Looks nice, but you could do it with a high polygon model(which is what it looks like with no reference info).

1500 polys, take in consideration that im using more than one texture layer

I think im going to make a little walkaround demo showing dot3 technology

Red(Posted 2004) [#6]
is it from Zbrush ?

Bob3d(Posted 2004) [#7]
yay ...dot3 in Blitz...

I suppose this wont run in lower spec Pcs, but hey, it totally rocks..

Is it too complex -typical artist question ;) - to make your blitz code detect if the machine has certain type of card or card feature so you know u can safely load dot3, and then allow dot3 "triggering" ? Something like Unreal Tournament 2003, that adapts automatically to the performance of your card-cpu-ram...

Red Ocktober(Posted 2004) [#8]
it should run ok on lower end pcs... ok, maybe mid range pcs...

a normal map and some multitexturing... and the important math stuff to control the lighting...

... right!?!?!???

muucho cool...

verrrry verrrry much interested in how you did this...

c'mon man... details, details,, details... show us...

Mike you got it!!!!!!
But remember you guys dot3 is for high end pcs. Although that in my demo, im getting stuff to run in at least a 440 mx card.
For know got some running around stuff and its about 70 fps. So good as far. Maybe this little demo might go into an fps. Anyways ill keep you going on it on the forums.

Hi, nassinamar :)

Yep, zbrush is one of the best options for this type of detail.
