I modeled that using this pic as a reference:

(I don't know what kind of gun that is.)
And I textured it by taking important looking stuff out of this pic:

(I don't know what gun that is either.)
It's 12 objects, 235 faces, 403 edges and 192 vertices.
It's the first time I have used pics as textures.

I cant see the first picks to well. Add a light and re-render.

But from what I can see it looks good.

from what I can see it looks pretty good :)

*EDIT*

the back of it doesn't quite look right though.

*EDIT*

The gun looks a bit like a Luger

Use the AmbientLight command, or whatever its called, to brighten things up in Blitz

why not texture it with the picture you have. eg apply the picture you have as a texture to the whole side, I find the results are quite good, any facing that isnt the side can be made up from cutting and pasting from the original picture. This way you can save a hell of a lot of polys and get a more accurate model, you would not have to model the safty catch or the grooves. If I can find it I`ll post a picture of pistol I made a while ago so you can compare.

I would make the gun less thick. It looks thick to me.

yeah and add some verts, too

I would, but I only know the very basics of wings.
