Does anyone know where I can get a blood splatter animation - of the kind you would render as a 2D overlay. I'm trying to do an animation where a 3D character's head is sliced off and blood spurts out of the neck like a fountain. Regards, Rogue Vector

I would recommend ExGen :) Admitedly I wrote it but it has a lite mode that should be able to create and export a blood splatter animation quite easily.

It also makes for great fun on a rainy day. Seriously. I played with the lite version non-stop.

3ds max 6 is easily capable of making and animating such fountain like spurts with the particle generators.

Texture Generator should be able to do something like this as well.
