Someday you will be able to produce quality models as this one as well. ;) *cough*

It's supposed to be a rat
I haven't decided yet what kind of eyes the rat will have, so I skipped modelling them so far.(You might have noticed)

Modelled in Wings3D.
I'm a newbie-modeller so be gentle. ;)

And this is supposed to be a Mole or something like that...

Skitchy(Posted 2004) [#3]
That's really good - the start of a nice cartoony character :)

Beaker(Posted 2004) [#4]
I actually quite like 'em.

Think the mole should have a flatter more conical face, tho. Differentiate him from the rat more.

Also, don't moles have giant claw hands?

Hmm, you are right.
But if moles could learn how to use tools instead, maybe this is what they would look like in the future? ;) lol

they look cool! :-D

Don't worry, I won't.

The rat head is a pretty good model. You should refine the edges separating the nose from the snout (for starters, set those as hard edges before subdividing) and you need to add more geometry to the teeth to correct shading artifacts, but the modeling of the ears is class work. Add some big cartoon eyes.

The mole could use a lot of work, but it's a good start.

scribbla(Posted 2004) [#8]
nice start..cartoony:)

the rat should have off white teeth..or is that a yellow tongue
yeh the mole should have big claw hands for digging and his arms higher up from his shoulders

GfK(Posted 2004) [#9]
I like the albino bipedal mole.

Falelorn(Posted 2004) [#10]
I like both, cartoonish games rule

Sweenie(Posted 2004) [#11]
Ok, now he got himself a couple of eyes.

aab(Posted 2004) [#12]
I Really like the moles tiny little arms:)

Caff(Posted 2004) [#13]
Yeah the mole rocks, the mouse head is cool too but I'd make the eyes twice the size and also large up the pupils

jhocking(Posted 2004) [#14]
Definitely make the pupils larger. With the eyelids in those neutral positions, you generally make the irises (or the pupils, for a cartoony character that doesn't have irises and only pupils) large enough that the top and bottom are slighlty covered over by the eyelids.

Lumivel(Posted 2004) [#15]
haha. I like it, the rat looks stoned off his rocker. And the mole is huggabley cute. Like teddy bear cute.

Red Ocktober(Posted 2004) [#16]
nice rats... no, really, nice models... ready to be put into a game...

i'm terrible at organic shapes without resorting to nurbs...

and my models are heavy enough without em... :)
