Incredible find.

All the sci fi textures you could ever need.

Paul "Taiphoz"(Posted 2004) [#3]

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#4]
Holy crap.

Wow.

Bouncer(Posted 2004) [#6]
That stuff is unbeleviable... talented guy that russian...

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#7]
Where does it say this is all free?

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#8]
Can anyone with max 5 convert to b3d or 3ds? If you want a CD of it all, I can mail it to ya.

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#9]
I mailed the creators of the Kreed game. The last update on their site was in September.

Perturbatio(Posted 2004) [#10]
I get a password prompt as soon as I got to any of those pages.

Sir Felgar(Posted 2004) [#11]
Perturbatio - login and password is in my original post...

Perturbatio(Posted 2004) [#12]
oops

that's what I get for not reading the posts all the way through. (however I do also get prompted for it whenever I view this post which is most annoying).

Bot Builder(Posted 2004) [#13]
Ah. my fault :P I'll take off the image

CyberHeater(Posted 2004) [#14]
Halo: Will this jumpstart you again into doing something about singularity?
I was looking forward to this game.

Kreed; I saw that in his resume. Don't think the game was ever released which is a shame going by all this tremendous artwork.

Blitz members: If all this stuff is really free. Now would be a great time to use it for a open source blitz sci-fi fps.

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#15]
Not at this time. I am doing WWII stuff, and I am really enjoying it. However, I will definitely burn this onto a cD for later use.

I don't really like the character meshes, but everything else is good.

IPete2(Posted 2004) [#16]
Good Grief! All I can say is WOW!

Are we sure these are free for us to use or did I miss a note saying we can't?

IPete2.

Gabriel(Posted 2004) [#17]
It's totally free for use in NON-COMMERCIAL projects. It's NOT FREE for use in projects where you intend to make money. That's the official word from the author. I emailed him last night.

Ruz(Posted 2004) [#18]
seems rather pointless then

Gabriel(Posted 2004) [#19]
Well to me, since I don't really make non-commercial projects, it is, sadly. But there are lots of people here who make games that they never intend to make a penny from, so they'll get some use from them.

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#20]
If you want use my models in comercial project, you must pay it.

The Quake 3 media is free for noncommercial use. Russian dumbass.

Agamer(Posted 2004) [#21]
I think I might have to look at some of these

I think I might have to look at some of these

IPete2(Posted 2004) [#23]
Hmm... I have another question please.

I have downloaded a couple of the models and their textures etc, but MAX simply complains it cannot find the textures (which I see are supposed to be bmps)?

If anyone can please help me to resolve this I am dying to see these models in Max so I could export them using pipeline and into B3d.

Any help would be great thanks.

IPete2.

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#24]
Post some .3ds files so people without max can look.

IPete2(Posted 2004) [#25]
Sybixsus,

Thanks for that - currently trying to find the paths...doh! Why don't people make simple things easy?

(sorry Im not meaning to complain really but you know with using the resource collector in Max (one click) it would have made looking at these scenes so much easier!)

And for some reason I dont have one of the required plugins for the characters so I cant see them either!

BUT the thing is - I do have the biped.dlc.

Damn! What is wrong with my setup that I have these problems?

IPete2.

N(Posted 2004) [#26]
After looking at the weapon textures, they aren't actually as well-done as I expected, the models seem to do a lot of the work. Lighting and other, I expect.

In any case, I love that first gun...

Eole(Posted 2004) [#27]
Oh my good, thak a lot to share ....

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#28]
From Burut CT:

"All Kreed media is the property of Burut CT and Acclaim. It's
stolen material."

Neochrome(Posted 2004) [#29]
whoops, FTP details arn''t included

SopiSoft(Posted 2004) [#30]
cool stuff!

Ice9(Posted 2004) [#31]
No one in their right mind would give away that much
material and all those man hours.
It's great for study though.

Falelorn(Posted 2004) [#32]
WOW nice nice nice.... did I say NICE?

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#33]
Here is the final word:

Hello Josh,

Yes, Josh, I've took a look at this site. There are models and
textures taken from Kreed released in Russia and bought by
Acclaim for the word wide. This materials were stolen, either
they could be taken from the release disk in Russia. We'll do
what we can to close this site and to take to judge the people
from SkyFallen (game development studio also from Russia, city
of Voronezh).
