That logo is completely impossible to read on my monitor. :-?

You need more contrast between the foreground and background -- the lightning patters looks cool, but the text doesn't stand out -at all-. Shoul d either use different colors for the text, our outline it or something.

Thanks for that, not wrong - could make it stand out a little more...

Looks good on my monitor, on all monitor settings.

I can read the "Blitz" part. Maybe the rest of it needs a glow to highlight it or something...

Ploppy(Posted 2013) [#6]
Yep, a glow would really make a difference, I think - will give it a shot... take 2...

Looking much more readable now.

I was testing some things in Inkscape:

Nice and smooth. Also very much in-style with Blitz. Makes it look more official. I miss the lightning bits though. Perhaps the "hardwired" text could have some lightning extensions to left and right, extruding from the middle edge of the "H" and "D" to make it more electric. Or perhaps the blue lightning texture in the blue "Blitz" text..

I vote for the second, simpler one. Still trying to conquer Inkscape myself.

I like Kryzon one as it is simple logo :)

The original logos for the Blitz products can be seen here:

As has been pointed out, the one I did is missing polish.
The official logos must've been done with professional (as in, expensive) software. While those effects can be done with Inkscape & GIMP, you would have to manually craft the effects and it would take a lot of time.

You're not far off Kryson your logo only needs a bit more shine. Looks pretty damn professional to me! :)

Here's a variation with some of the emboss & shine:

Try toning down the black outline on Hardwired.

@Mac: This looks great!
