Very nice, I'm sure to include this in my database.

Adam, if you find any free (and good) GM banks in soundfont or other common formats, please share.
EDIT: Nevermind, a bit of googling: HammerSound's "soundfont collection" section, a page where you can find several GM banks including the donationware and well-sounding FluidR3.

Thanks, those seem good too.
The good thing about GM bank soundfonts is that they contain 128 or 256 instruments all at once and many times include multiple-velocity samples.
For old DOS games, you can see the difference a good sound bank made for the music, even when in hardware-form such as the MT-32 used for that video.

Of course if you want hollywood-grade sampling, you need to use a VST.
