Just played a little of perfect dark on the 360, graphics are just such eye candy. Still got my perfect dark cartridge for my N64... They were a bit gold dust ish in the day.

I'm giving away my years now, but amazingly on the XBox 360, RARE are proud of their coding heritage. The game of choice they display on the intro is JETPAC. How cool is that!

In my final primary school years I'd sometimes pop home at lunch time (it was a small village) and play jet pac.

There is only one problem with the XBox360 & the games, you get accustomed to the high def, to go back to normal telly seems so poor.

Even though I have a 360 now, I still can't get rid of my N64 with Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Two of the best games ever.

Actually, I got a bit industrious at the time and made a Goldeneye Divider (TM), a huge thick cardboard contraption that hung on the TV and hid the other players' views from each other. It even had an adjustable section to convert for 2-player! It completely transformed the game - sniping and sneaking suddenly became possible. I even looked into trying to patent it and try and make money from it :) glad I didn't, I'd have really lost my shirt.

donkey kong for the 64 is my little bros favorite games.

Timesplitters 2 is much, much better than Goldeneye.

I'm thick at the best of times, reading your discrition i though - how would that work? then i realised you made it perpendicular to the tv screen. much respect and smileys.

>Timesplitters 2

Had this on ps2, and have to agree - certainly in terms of multiplayer and the "arcade" single player side. The way the unlockables worked really kept be going back for just one more go...

I'd love to see it on wii - I know I could get the GC version, but I really hope that TS2 makes it onto the list for revamped GC games on Wii with Wii controls...

Yeah I actually got TimeSplitters 2 for the Gamecube as a gift and I love it. That and Geist are the two best FPS ever made, and both oddly enough are for Gamecube...

My friends and get together on occasion and still play Goldeneye to bring back good times. I used to hate it back then but now I'm a fan, funny how life works like that.

Re Timesplitters 2, any game where you can blow a trumpet and summon monkeys to help you is a winner in my book. Or did I imagine that? And then there's the multiplayer level which is a hospital full of (very mobile) burning zombies and your goal is to avoid being set on fire for as long as possible. Complete mayhem.

I still have an N64 tucked away too. I'm digressing slightly here but Mario 64 and Pilotwings have also stood the test of time pretty well.

Ha, a friend and I used to do the same thing. Made multiplayer better in some ways, but worse in others - split screen at least allowed you to find the other player easily, leading to more confrontations.

Goldeneye was pure magic though. Easily my favourite game of all time.

Funny I just bought perfect dark yesterday!

Me too... o_O;

It still has appeal among new 360 players it seems, expecially with the bargain bin price. :)

@Gfk, get this I'd the pleasure to work with (albeit briefly) and socialise with a timesplitters 2 bloke kudos or what!

Lets not forget Banjo Kazooi! This was my favorite game when I was younger and the N64 was still the cutting edge.
