| XSI 7 has been announced for those who weren't aware, and the new ICE tool looks quite amazing. However, the cheapest Foundation version is being discontinued. So, that leaves $3k for Essentials and $5k for Advanced (which I doubt too many game devs will need). The good news is, Foundation users can upgrade to Ess for about $1000. The offer is good until the end of September. Considering what's included, that's a huge bargain, and well worth taking advantage of if you're a Foundation user. |

| That sucks. I always admired their releasing the foundation version and was tempted to pick it up on several occasions instead of upgrading 3dsmax. It seemed like a really good app that only lacked in dedicated custom exporters for specific engines that I used. Which is probably at the end of the day 3dsmax's greatest strength. |
