Yep, I gave up on it at first, but later I came back to it, loked at the video tuts on the site, and I'm pretty good at modelling with it now. You have a lot of power, and it's completely free. I suggest you give it another go with the video tuts.

It's not hard, just follow the tutorials with patience and it will reward it.

Wings3d do have built-in texturing function.

I've tried using Blender and I hate it. Can't find anything I need in it and the controls are confusing. I like maya but I don't have the money to buy it. It's $2000 I think. So I just have to settle for the $45 Milkshape 3D.
