I've been looking for a terrain creation candidate for my flight sim. I noticed that John J. used L3DT in BattleTanks II. Has anyone else used this and what's your opinion of this product.

Is this the sleeper-hit for terrain creation?

L3DT is very good for foto-realistic terrains (like needed for flying views in a flight sim) with the lightmap included into only one texture.Then you can add a detail texture.
