Does anyone know any free audio editors, sequencers, synthesizers, etc. Also, does anyone know if it's possible to take a recorded song, but somehow filter out people singing in it, (it's like 3 small things i want out). Thanks

Are you trying to remove the "Sample" voice from Demo music?

Audacity's nice:
www.audacity.com (i think)

I'm not sure, but how do i actually remove the "sample" voice?

There's a method to remove the singer from a song, utilizing the fact that the singing usually is the only instrument that is mixed equally on the left and right channel, not really sure of that. It's some kind of "karaokisation", maybe available as a VST plugin or something.

A few threads earlier I mentioned Reaper (virtual multitrack recording studio) and Hydrogen (Drum sequencer with human touch etc.),which is what I'd suggest to use these days, although you still need an instrument, or some loopable samples.

can't find any "karaokisation" plugin anywhere....

The 'karaoke' function takes the singers voice from the either left and right speaker and pushes it out of phaze with itsself. The upshot is you wind up removing the voice.

Hope this helps.

audacity gets my vote, as for voice removal... sorry - dunno.

Good free sequencer is Kristal Audio Engine.

Uses VST plugins, but doesn't include MIDI sequencing AFAIK.
You can search for free VST plugins from
http://www.kvraudio.com/
For sample editing, my vote also goes to Audacity.
