Is there a free modeller out there where you add vertices and create triangles through those vertices (like in Milkshape)? i dont need anything fancy, not even ability for textures *lol*. just a bare to bones vertex modeller. altough a feature-eque modeller would be nice...

... there's milkshape?

this thread is in the wrong forum btw.

Milkshape isn't free. I don't know any other modellers where you can add vertices to create triangles, but as a free, easy to use modeller I would go for Wings3D or Anim8or.

Check this out

Note: I didn't use it so I don't know if this is what you are looking for

Gmax? Maybe

H&K: How can we get B3D models from Gmax?

This is not what you asked for, but Wings3d is a very good modeler. (And Free!)

You cannot create vertices and faces like what you are asking for, however, because all models in wings need to be closed. That is to say that there cannot be any holes in the mesh, and you cannot create a single face on it's own. Technically speaking, you can create holes in objects by using a "hole material" that simply does not save out when you export the file.

Anyways, it is an exceptional modeler, and well worth checking out.

You can't use Gmax for anything other than what its designed for - i.e. making mods for a handful games - read the EULA if in doubt.
