What are Shaders. How can we use them in Blitz3D?

we cant use them in blitz. forget about them if you stick to b3d.

They're code which runs on the GPU instead of the CPU.

You can't. They're not available in DX7 and they weren't particularly great in DX8 either. You really need a DX9 3D engine like TV3D or Irrlicht.

If I can't use them with Blitz3D I don't care (at the moment) what are they...
