Does Character FX not support the loading of materials on import? I know you can reload and reassign them, but if you have two textures on one model, this technique has no purpose once it goes into CFX. Anyone else had this problem?

You may have to seperate those parts of the surfaces that are using individual textures as individual child objects of the scene.

Ah yeah, good call. Thanks jfk :D I'm looking at PaceMaker now, though. Seems to be doing it up right.

Of course, since CFX is kind of no longer updated and supported, Pacemaker is the first choice.

I do this:

1] Create model in Wings
2] Make animation in CharacterFX
3] Import to UltimateUnwrap
4] edit,scale,optimize animation in UU
5] make texture map in UU
6] export as B3d
7] color texture map in photoshop

Works fine for me.

I now do this.

Model and texture with Maya and Photoshop.
Make animations in PaceMaker.
