Go to BlenderNation recently released : Movie and Tutorial: Suburban Plight. It's not a horse but it may help. If you are new user of blender in the same site there is a section VideoTutorials. Get thru <Tufts University Blender Course Tutorials> to become a better blender user. I wish I had those tutorials 2 years before. At the end it doesn't really matter what software you are using to build a horse. What I wand to say is that if you know how to use your 3d package then you can go thru almost any 3D tutorial. And it doesn't matter if it is for 3DS Max , Maya or Blender.

hmm. Maybe you could animate it inside the latest version of Pacemaker as it now has quadraped skeletons? IPete2.
