I just got a copy of realsoft 3d which is free on this months 3d World. It is a full version, but for non commercial use only. This suits me. Does anyone know how usefull this program is for game models? File format sare limited to 3ds or dxf.

You can use .3ds for non deforming stuff. Like cars, and such. You can also use .3DS for animating a robot or any jointed animation.

You can't do morphing or boned vertex animation.
