Entry level Vue, only $79 - might be useful for game content creation stuff like backgrounds and skies... just as cheap as Terragen but can done more.

I don't think it's worth buy it.
Because Vue 5 ease! has resolution limitation and you have to buy other plug-in to do some effects.
Finally, we are forced to buy Vue 5 infinite!!

5 megapixels is "limited resolution?" what effects? Why don't you try the trial version and give it a chance huh?

Good tip musty

2560*1920 being typical 5 mp image size I can't really see it being "resolution limited" that much - typical GUIs and loading screens are usually 1024*768... also Vue's terrain "painting" is nice and intuitive way to make terrains (heightmaps and even textures).

But take a look at the features and then decide if you have any use for it. And of course it's NOT the "infinite" version - it's entry level version, but most Blitzers don't have much money - but still need apps for skyboxes etc and this migt be better than using the same amount of money to buy few readymade sky boxes for example.

Hi, Mustang and One Eyed Jack,

Please see the following link...
http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Products/vueproductline/index.php

(Limitations are mentioned. It does not mention Vue 5 ease! However, I think the functions of "Vue 5 ease!" must be even less than "Vue 5 Esprit")

I also agree that Vue is excellent.

It does not mention Easel because it's brand new... Easel feature list:

GI, athmospheres and plants are there... so IMO it seems good (better) alternative for Terragen if you need to generate skybox images, pretty nature backgrounds or terrain heightmaps and such. GUI / usability is bit "french" but it has been like that always (I was one of the betatesters for V2 years ago).

Hi all,

:)

I bought vue 5 Easel about a month ago, used it for a scene in my gauntlet game (at the end) and think it will be a useful tool for myself.
