Any Lightwave people out there? I use Houdini now for work but I use LW for years. Haven't tried 8 yet.

Using LW[8] as we speak... (I'm at work now).... but not for long because we bought recently bunch of XSI licences and will switch over using it ASAP.

I use LightWave 7.5. It`s a great program. I`ve been using it ever since version 5.0 on the Amiga.

Yep, there's a few LW few guys around here. I, like others, use it for my day job. Big learning curve, but a solid tool.

Yup, LW8 here.

I can't draw for toffee but I did engineering drawing for a while and used to write cad/engineering software so I can just about handle modelling which is handy for making sprites.

lw8 here,
the new lw dev team seem to be knocking out updates Fairly fast, 8.5 free update should be out soon

also been playing with the normal map plugin...which looks very cool

LW8 here. I've been using it since 3.5 on the amiga. I'm not doing enough with it now though... maybe when my new game needs decent graphics instead of placeholders.

Yep - I've got version 8.3 - haven't done much with it yet though.

5.6 and 6.5 Cool bit of kit - the best in fact.

Just don't need any higher numbers for my output.

Huge respect for it. Been with it since 3 or 4 on the Amiga, I'm not sure how long that must be by now, but it's a bloomin long time! Can't really recall by now of course.
