What is Softimage xsi like. I am torn between this and Gamespace but do not fancy all those icons in Gamespace. Will xsi work on a 800 by 600 screen?

800x600 is IMO too small rezz for ANY modeling prog; but will it work... dunno. But app windows will be stamp sized for sure.

yeah... you're gonna need a lil bigger piece of screen real estate... most modelers have so many icons cluttering up the screen that you are only going to have a lil slit left over to work in once you load the app...

the Truespace user interface is based on icons...

hehe, I use it at 800x600(a lot of key shortcuts), but I'm weird. And a huge xsi noob. And I use other tools to model and uvmap.

Thanks for the advice. I checked out the xsi demo and find that it uses too many menus to use comfortably oh a 800 by 600 screen. 1024 screen would be better but I avoid this cos of eyesight problems. But what about Gamespace? How much does the extra level builder cost?
