Hey, anyone tried out TED yet?

It looks pretty simple, pretty cool. I'm sure most of you already have mass collections of these things though.

If you lowered the price to US 19.99 I would totally buy it.

Anyway, good stuff.

bought it and TBH its worth every penny IMHO, to code a similar application would cost me more than the £12.99 I spent :D

What is TED?

CodeD(Posted 2005) [#4]
It's a terrain world editor, something like that. There's a thing about it on the home page for this website. Check it there.

Cracked it!

For those of you who have recently bought T.ED i can happily say that i have fixed the cracks bug. It was due to an overlooked floating point problem.
Also there is now a smooth seam feature which will make the seams much less noticable. (although there is an option to turn it off if you want to)

Update should be available by the end of the day in the form of v1.51.

R 2.0 is out now, its got a lot more to offer

SabataRH(Posted 2005) [#7]
All I get is a 'MA' when trying out the 2.0 demo ... :(

D4NM4N(Posted 2005) [#8]
Do you mean mav?

If so please can you tell me the following:
- did you install it somewhere unusual like a nw drive or compressed folder
- did you remove the previous version (not that this should matter anymore)
what is your desktop resolution & color depth
- any other info you think may be useful like h.w. specs etc

Has anyone else had this?

Thanks

Dan

if you want some test b3ds let me know some specs

Dreamora(Posted 2005) [#15]
I would like to test it but the download is totally broken.

with download manager it gives a crc error, with browser download I get an unexpected end of file error

D4NM4N(Posted 2005) [#16]
someone said this before. Is there a problem with XP generaed zip files

D4NM4N(Posted 2005) [#17]
prehaps i was uploading the file at the time, try it again.

Dreamora(Posted 2005) [#18]
Still the same problem.
Perhaps you uploaded it in the wrong ftp mode or something?

I don't know of any problem with XP generated zip files normally (WinRar even would open 7zip), at least as long as you didn't activate XP security stuff in which case it might be locked to your system.

D4NM4N(Posted 2005) [#19]
i noticed you put that you were using a download manager, have you tried it with just a normal download? Although this shouldnt matter.

Anyway, ive emailed u a copy so i hope it works ok
