I've been following nebula for about 6 years. It's a nice engine but you have to learn TCL/TK or put your C coding to work. This one use to be free and open source http://www.truevision3d.com/home.php |

ehm, is free for non comercial, and free games display a watermark permanent in down right corner. Unless it has changed since last time I visited. It imports x files fully -happily- and 6.5 coming version (beta ready for certain testers) seems really good, normals maps, self shadowing over characters body, etc. U can use ur c++, vb, delphi knowledge to code fo rit... Issues are...too big ones. U need: to know c++...ehm... to have purchased vb, or delphi environments...and use an illegal one...would be even silly, if u go for illegal path, better grab a more powerful , pro engine ;) Which anyway, would be also silly. Other than that, is nice.Specially nice for an artist: shadows, normal maps, much advanced gfx features, and seems is stable.(external people say) Somehow, I see it much better to have already purchased the language and the compiler, game environment, all in one, like Blitz3d. |
