Linux blows Unwrap3D registration!

I just installed Linux and thought "what the heck, let's see if the built-in emulator can pull off running UU3D". Well it didn't, that much I expected. What I didn't expect was that Linux managed to mess up the registration somehow. Now, back in Windows, UU3D has gone unregistered and the online registration refuses to work! "There was an error sending the registration code" it says. I asked the author about it and he said Unwrap3D tries to send out a HTTP request using my machine's default HTTP port, which seems to fail for some reason. He didn't know exactly why though, so I thought I'd ask here next. Does someone have any ideas what to do? I'm open for anything. :/

Do you have WinXP?
you can try 'reinstalling' tcp/ip stack.
From command line:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

And then restart Windows.

Maybe a firewall/antivirus issue too.

Nah, that didn't work. Thanks anyway, though :)

Just found out that logging on as a different user made the regging process go through. It's not very practical to switch back and forth to run just one prog, but at least it works now.

firewall settings preventing UU3D from accessing the network?
