Hi, does anyone know of any tools that can make photo realistic models?

a Canon or Olympus digital camera would be a good start...

well,... any 3d model program can do this in the right hands.

The easiest way to create photo realistic objects is to work from photos and proper texturing.

There is a program called photomodeler that has a freeware version,... it allows you to make a 3d model from a series of photographs so you may want to look for it. There are several others that do this, but most cost several Thousand $$

? Lot's of polygons, photo texture source material, good UV-mapping, lot's of tweaking and few extra things like specular & bump maps...
