Oh, pretty complete list i guess.. i think i take a look on the homepage :D

darklordz(Posted 2004) [#3]
run the demos and see for yourself. they suck. this has been n offtopic before...

Kornflex(Posted 2004) [#4]
Hum very strange, TY darklordz.

I see some demos (from the full install package) and they are not bad. i Mean with the new version.

So the price it's not fair 2,214.50 euros :-)

I downloaded the eclipse one with the penguins and there were all sorts of rendering errors. It was clear there was supposed to be some ice and/or paths visible, but I couldn't see them.

Oh and the eclipse game is pretty neat. The controls could use some work... you seem to get stuck on stuff a lot, but maybe that's cause I can't see the ice texture and there's no sliding on walls. And I couldn't seem to pick up some items and put them in my inventory, like a compass. But still, it was a neat game. It's like a mini adventure game. You read some stuff, and find the items you need to get to a party. Pretty neat.

I have this problem before too. I think he have problem with Directx9b when you start him for first time :)

I DL the Full install package and all demos/samples are working well.

I actually own this (free since i wrote some tuts on it) and all i can say is that it's really nice.
Can't compare it to Blitz since it works quite differently, but it's a nice tool nonetheless.

Doggie(Posted 2004) [#8]
For $100 I might've considered it. At $500 for the top of the line edition it was abysmally overpriced. At $2,500 it's nothing but a huge joke.

JoshK(Posted 2004) [#9]
I guess all they need is one sale.

Red Ocktober(Posted 2004) [#10]
DarkLordz... come on man...

they suck

how old are you...

I've looked at this a while back... the one thing i saw was theat the demos weren't to stable... crashed on a few different machines i tested em on...

... haven't been back there since.

it did seem like quite a collection wrapped up in one development tool, for a low price...

The art in the demos look great but I don't see a anything
that couldn't be done in blitz. It seems like all it does
is walkthrough creation or games like Real Myst. Yes I would buy it if it were around $100.00 but it's not worth
$2,500

jhocking(Posted 2004) [#12]
Having worked with a number of those sorts of GUI development environments, I can say emphatically that I would not use that, even if it were free. These sorts of tools are a great way for designers and 3D artists to quickly prototype ideas or create short interactive pieces, but they are typically very poor for managing the complexity of a full game.

Falelorn(Posted 2004) [#13]
Ill stick with blitz, its not limited.

That product appears to be limited. Good for prototypeing tho.

Zenith(Posted 2004) [#14]
Haha, your right halo -- there's gotta be atleast one desperate stupid rich (whether by his fathers visa or his own) kid who finds it

Crawdad(Posted 2004) [#15]
Makes me glad to have Blitz and Lightwave the best of both worlds.

Zmatrix(Posted 2004) [#16]
I had it, but I sold the license.
It does shaders ,stencil shadows and physics with no code. all from the editor.

didnt seem ready for game prime time yet to me.
I loaded one of my cshop levels and the exe was close to 14 meg.
didnt seem to be any way to manage external media...everything got stuck in the EXE.
