Now if there was just a Lightwave scene importer... |
| ||
But there is. |
| ||
Is there? Where? The .LWO importer is Geometry only (I know I wrote it). Problem with Lightwave is the Scene is a different file (.LWS) from the objects (.LWO) and is ASCII as opposed to the binary form of the .LWO files. That being said, it's easy to import basic positioning, it's heirachal animation that is a pain. |
| ||
Hey Lee :) Have you got some specs on the LWS format? Might give it a go, as I can walk around animation it shouldn't be a big problem to add it :) |
| ||
Oops, my mistake. Didn't realise there were other formats. |
| ||
@Fredborg - Yes I've got the docs around here somewhere... I'll post a link when I find them.. By the way, did you want the new .LWO loader from the latest Tattoo version. It uses the Tesselate stuff you did and can handle polys of up to 1024 points and even ignores skelegons and the like! It's not as well tested yet though! |
| ||
That would be great! |
| ||
Have you got some specs on the LWS format? All you need: http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/developer/ :) |

Ah yes there it is :) Ok, I'll send it on over some time this evening. |
