Hi,

What graphics card do you have?

patisawesome(Posted 2003) [#3]
I don't know what graphics card I have, it's built on to the motherboard.

Ah. Integrated sets are often a problem..

Most of those builtins can still be disabled and bypassed with a decent card. I had a Compaq(never again) a while back and had to do that. Just be sure to strip all the old drivers first before installing the new card.

usually you can simply plug in the new card n the AGP Slot. Personally I even didn't have to disabl th onboard chip in the BIOS. Windows just installed a standard Driver and booted correctly, then I had to run the Ati Setup.
It also seems like this fixed the energy Problem I had before with some USB Devices: Cameras went into standby Mode because of a lack of energy or something. But maybe the card wasn't the reason why the camera works correctly now.

Well, back to the topic.
