Anybody else waiting to see what this can do.
I think it's going to be pricey though.

Oooh, this looks interesting!

edit: make that amazing!

fredborg(Posted 2003) [#3]
Rumors suggest it's going to be around 2000$, but it seems like it's worth it!

Doggie(Posted 2003) [#4]
Yeah, that's pretty much the same ballpark figure I've seen. No champagne for me on my beer budget...

One has to wonder, which October they are talking about :)

Space_guy(Posted 2003) [#6]
it does look very cool. atleast the movies. i bet its harder than it looks though, lots of setting up perhaps

Doggie(Posted 2003) [#7]
For the time being I'm back
to using Life Forms 3.5.
I got it off a cover disk
probably a year or so ago.
Had some trouble with it being flaky(kept crashing)
under WinXP but found if you go to the compatability
tab and check disable visual themes
it works perfectly. The good thing is
you can use poser 4 to do the anims
save them as BVH and load the BVH into Life Forms
and attach them to your low poly model and
save out as 3Ds. Maybe I'll release some
animated models soon.

animanium looks great, maybe i'll buy it if it's really worth it, somewhere down the line.

Hey Doggie, cool Tip, thx! I still got poser 4 and life forms 3.5 somewhere here, never installed them yet, but from what you said it's really cool. (wasn't there a lot of people trying to find a way from bvh to blitz?)

Doggie(Posted 2003) [#10]
I think so. Mind you, of course, that this is from
BVH to 3DS but still useable in Blitz just
not manipulable(word). What would really be cool
is a way to directly assign bvh to blitz models on the fly
instead of loading in pre-animated models.
Maybe that can be done...beats me.

Doggie(Posted 2003) [#12]
OK. Downloaded the French to English menu convertor
and started the download of 6 5mb files...
How do you reccomend converting wrl into B3d retaining
the animation? Thanks for the tip!

Doggie

(tu) sinu(Posted 2003) [#13]
does wrl support bones though?

Doggie(Posted 2003) [#14]
Beats me. It's apparently not a standard
wrl file either since no program I have
will load in the file...oh well.

Doggie(Posted 2003) [#16]
If you have a convertor that works with Avatar Studio 2
would you kindly share it with a link? Be much obliged.

That's an amazing looking animation program. Sega == w00t

fredborg(Posted 2003) [#18]
One has to wonder, which 'first half of November' they are talking about :)

fredborg(Posted 2003) [#19]
Well, it's out now...1500$ ouch! A demo would be great, but it doesn't look like there is one yet :(

patisawesome(Posted 2003) [#20]
$1,500? That's just crazy!
-me

(tu) sinu(Posted 2003) [#21]
it's mainly for cg work for high end studios.

Miracle(Posted 2003) [#22]
Hmm. Why are they charging $1,500 for Animation: Master's animation routines? :)

Seriously, though, it looks almost exactly like it.

RedRidingHood(Posted 2003) [#23]
Messiah:Animate looks about as capable as Animanium if not more so (I haven't tried either so it's hard to say for sure) and it's a third of the price. Thanks for posting the info on Animanium though, I like to see what all my options are. :)
