I made a patching tool that protects your upx compressed files from decompression. This makes it impossible to decomopress it. unfortuatly my internet conn is down. (im @ a friends right now.) If there is any interest plz let me know....

This makes it impossible to decomopress it.
I assume you can still run it ?

I have heard of something that does a simiar thing.

At the time I heard that it is against the terms and conditions of the UPX compressor (since it scrambled the 'Encoded by UPX' header). I am happy to be proved wrong though! :)

Sounds interesting. I hope this is indeed not against the terms and conditions of the UPX compressor. If it isn't, I'm really interested.

I have a upx I'm trying to decompress. My brothers computer
spammed out a program called buddy.nri to everyone on his list. no virus scanner catches it. I opened it up in notepad and noticed it had upx 1.2 in the top of the file.
I tried to decompress it and it said the header was corupt.

So, any news darklordz? Is this indeed tolerated by the UPX guys, and above all, will you release it soon?
