Does .x not support bone scaling?

I exported my animated character to .x to get it into UU. All is fine except that one of the bones has an animated scale thing going on (part of the character expands) and this does not show up.
Any ideas?

Which X exporter are you using?

Skitchy(Posted 2003) [#3]
Its the only one that I've found that works with animation at all. Somebody here sent it to me. I think it was compiled from the DX9 SDK Extras with a slight fix, but don't quote me on that.
It shows up in the export dialog as X-File, and the only info on it's window says

DirectX X File Export Plugin
(Beta 1)
Copyright 1999-2000, Microsoft Corp.

Other than that I don't have any info on it.

If you know where I can get another, I'd be very grateful.

There's the Pandasoft 3DSMAX .X exporter:

I would really like a .x *importer* for MAX though. :)

I don't know if this is the right one ( XSkinExp.dle ), but worth a try, it works in MAX 5 for me, though I only have tested and seen that it writes a file ok, from Max 5.
