| It's a Poser-like software, where you can pose characters and render them. Went free for a limited time: http://www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-4-pro/ It requires you to fill in a form, and they will send you newsletters (from which you can promptly unsubscribe). For what it does, I'm surprised it used to cost that much when it was on sale. But it can be useful for someone. For those that need more features than DAZ Studio, there's still Blender. |

| I've used Daz Studio before - while it's far from flawless, it really is pretty good. I did all the character work for Magicville: Art of Magic with it. While Daz Studio may be free, you do need to make a hell of a lot of other purchases if you're going to do anything beyond just killing half an hour playing with it (which, obviously, is where they make their money). |
