If storing a years worth of Internet History for everyone in the UK (already law) wasn't already bad enough.

Also, a few days ago I posted that the EU wants to split up Facebook for every country in the EU, in other 18 facebooks.

Donald Trump is pushing for net neutrality expect since most of his policies are facing reistance at every turn, the chances of that happening seems slim.

Worrying times for the future of the Internet indeed.

Thank god Internet in Japan is still running as normal...

Donald Trump is pushing for net neutrality. Worrying times for the future of the Internet indeed.

What makes you think Trump is in favor of net neutrality? The guy he actually put in charge of the FCC is trying to burn the current net neutrality rules completely to the ground and get rid of them, and was put in that position exactly because he feels that way.

Meanwhile, various polls have shows that if people are explained what net neutrality actually is, the overwhelming majority of it are in favor of it. the US broadband market is broken, with either a monopoly of duopoly in local markets. In such an environment, you NEED net neutrality or your cable company can completely screw over their customers with no recourse.

I'm sure he meant Trump is pushing for an end to net neutrality.

Hey guys, yeah, sorry I was so busy copy and pasting links in, I somehow forgot to finish that sentence in its entirety. Thanks for pointing that out. :)

Meanwhile, various polls have

I don't believe in polls anymore because they rarely reveal how that sample size was collected. polls are just used to confirm ones bubble. It's like when they said Hillary had a 95% chance of winning the election. Of course that would be true if the whole of America was Washington DC (if I recall the vote there really was 95% for Hillary)

Polls should just be used for general information and not for fact.
