Im Starting to think I might be Blue Light sensitive..
Im buying those glasses which suppose to filter this Blue light from the monitor.
Lets hope it helps..

they say it does so will see..

Im tired of suffering from this. Is prevents me from coding seriously..
and that a shame for me and others as well..
but mainly for me.

Imagine sitting for 10 minutes on a monitor and tears start coming.
Imagine the screen shines into you eyes and you cant really concentrate on the content of your code..
all this Im facing and it makes being creative really hard.
my programming pace if pretty slow comparing to what I can.

I really dream for a day to come that I can work facing the code only
and not facing the monitor.

Though from time to time I have some good days .. ")

So you didn't always suffer form this?

Have you tried putting the contrast and brightness on the absolute minimum?
Do you get the same problems when looking at say an iPad or TV screen?
I used to sometimes get tears but I realised that because of my dust allergy, which instantly went away when I kept my desk clean and stopped using a desk fan (if I use a fan I have it on the floor and blowing at me from behind my desk, in other words keeping my legs cool)

I always had this. My brightness aint high.
I have major issues with screens, more than just eye tears

I mean i have some days that i suffer less.

With phone its much less, the screen is smaller..
With tv its less because i sit far.
About dust.. I don't think its my issue.

Do you wear glasses?
Do you have issues with long sight or short sight?
I wonder if your eyes are over straining and causing stress which leads to tears.

Have you read any of this?

https://www.symptomfind.com/health/computer-eye-strain-relief/

A programmer in our office suffers from eye strain, as a result his backdrop and background is always black, with all his text in a 128,128,128 grey as much as possible. Seems to help him do his work.

same here.. my background is always black..

i suffer from eye sight just lately .. but i had this problem for since i was a kid.

the monitor is glaring into my eyes..
and it causes me more than only eye tears..
it causes me tinnitus and even head skin wounds
i know for certain its from the monitor by now.
also migrans from time to time (head aches)

ill watch your link.. thanks..

Im just waiting for the day that the industry will finally release us from this suffering by giving us a true freaking healthy monitor.

but the industry is mainly thinking about how to make cheap and easy money..

i could have done 100 times more in my life in programming if i had my dream monitor.
but thats life, you dont always get what you desire.

Head skin wounds? Your skin is burning from just being near a monitor?!

Hardcoal(Posted May) [#7]
No. More like infection, maybe from stress i dont know.
But lately it went down maybe because i started to use low blue light mode in my monitor.
From this aspect, it's much better.

I'm having similar issues: pain in my eyes, especially with white or blue lights/LEDs. It's now a little less. But whenever I lack sleep it comes back. I use the app F.lux on my laptop and at work.

Also I'm having a B12 deficiency due to an auto immune reaction for which I now take 40000% of the average day dose. The previous lack of B12 might has done damage to some nerve encasings(like insulation on a electricity wire), that at times can cause pains in several body parts, like my feet and eyes.

I must say in the past I was working in a warehouse where they were using laser scanners to read barcodes, which gave me blueish haze as if looked into the sun but then entire view, not just a dot. I experienced it also when looking at a laser beam from the side which at time was said to be impossible. Nowadays they know lasers emit light sideways also.

have you try to use a projector on white surface?

The dreaded Windows 10 Creators Update apparently holds a blue light reduction tool by default. ;-)
