BlitzPlus produces EXEs that contain a virus (?)

BlitzPlus Forums/BlitzPlus Programming/BlitzPlus produces EXEs that contain a virus (?)

Hello Folks,

Iīm working with BB+ since it was published and now Iīve got a problem I never had before:

A software publisher who runs a freeware archive here in germany mailed me that he wouldnīt publish my BB+ software title, because it contains a virus named "Constructor.Win32.Agent.cn". He also told me which virus scanner he uses, "gdata internet security", because I answered that my 2 protectors Spybot S&D and Antivir donīt find anything malicious in an actual scan. I downloaded this virus protector he told me about and comprehended what the man wrote me.

With the antivirus software that guy uses I found "Constructor.Win32.Agent.cn" on my pc, too. It was exceptionally found in BlitzBasic Plus executables and in one dir from the system recovery. It took me some hours inc. Google research to get it off my pc, with all tricks like deactivating system recovery and so on.

The problem is: after all that effort, when I compile my program again with BB+, it again contains this strange "virus". I scanned the EXEs right after compiling it to really be sure, and they were 'infected'. The compiler exe, on the other hand, is not infected.

I googled for the virus name, but I didnīt find to much, it doesnīt seem to be a well known issue. An interesting post I found is http://www.retroremakes.com/forum2/showthread.php?p=154684. The poster obviously had the same problem, and guessing from the code snippet he posted, he is working with BB, too.

I hope that somebody can tell me more about this weird circumstance.

Regards to all,
4pac
