If a moderator thinks this would be better elsewhere, feel free to move it; I didn't know where else to put this.

Hey, I've been wondering something: how many people actually read the worklogs, as well as posting their own entries? 'Cause I've been asking for email input for the last four entries/three weeks, including in my latest worklog, but not a peep! (My worklog is called Blox, by the way.)

Well, you are best doing requests in the forums (like you are now) that direct people to your worklog.

Also, put a link to your worklog:

Also, if you want more attention to this particular worklog then post in the 'Blitz Showcase'.

PS - it looks cool (your game).

Hey, thanks puki! That link might be useful. Glad to know you like it!

Okay, everyone, since the worklogs appear to read by an incredible 0,000,000 people, I'm posting a link here, in the forums, which are actually read by people, to the worklog for my game, Blox. (You can get all the information about its current state in the log.)

Click here to go to my worklog.

Also, I would suggest that people start reading & providing feedback for the worklogs of other programmers as well, many of whom I feel have very promising projects underway! Try some of these:

Enjoy y'all!

Have you read the worklogs yourself?

95% of them are along the lines of:
"super MMORPG game nearing completion. Watch this space end of next month!!!!!11".

Date of last update, November 2003.

That's probably why many people don't bother reading them.

I'm honestly not a fan of bombarding the forums with links to worklogs. The worklogs are there for those who want to read them. Its a bit silly trying to bully people into reading them, whatever your motivation.

I would agree with that. It's like people who have blogs and then spam message boards with links to their latest post. If I want to read your blog, I will. Don't keep trying to send me there.

I read the worklog of ppl Im having flame wars with

CS_TBL(Posted 2006) [#9]
With regards to those super MMORPG logs:

(1) The last 20% of the game has 80% of the work, and that's where ppl get stuck.

(2) Blitz is not a gamebuilder, it's a Basic, making a game is still a lot of hard work whether the gfx commands are easy or not. I think a vast majority still doesn't get this.. :P (unless you're satisfied with 'guess the number', 'space invaders' or some cheap oldfashioned/dull 3d shooter)

Hey, Warren, chill man. I'm really not trying to force people to my log, other's logs, or have any intention of spamming the forums. I was trying this because I've been including a "contact me" suggestion in my worklog for over a month, as well as updating it frequently, but not a peep (save one, 3 weeks ago.) Frankly, I was starting to wonder whether anyone at all read the worklogs. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, I know people will read it if they want, and I won't try to force them - my concern was that people won't read what they don't know is there. That's all.
