BlitzPlus Forums/BlitzPlus Programming/Only for those who are creating casino games in BlitzPlus for BELRO...

3DBuzzFan(Posted 2004) [#1]
Hi folks.

This is Rui.
This topic is for those people who are already working on casino games for BELRO.
Seldon has been kind enough to setup a private forum at:

pub6.dream-tools.net/tools/messages.mv?index+blitzgamblinggames

Please, only those people who are working on these games are expected to go there.

Everyone who is writting game and still have not accessed that forum, please do.
I am checking that forum regularly.
I am also answerig all questions there.

Once again, please do not go in there if you are not working on any game for BELRO.
We are not expecting people other than the guys who have already been assigned a game to develop.

On your first post there, please introduce yourself and tell people which game you are writting.
Things have been going well there... peacefuly, and very clear.

Seldo is the admin of the forum and I am counting on him in order to delete posts from people who are not working with us.
So, just to make it very clear: do not post there, if you are not writting a game for us.
If you are, please go there as all communications are taking place there.

Now, everything is posted there, so everyone knows about everyone else's work, and can talk to each other in case they have any doubts about how things work.

Thanks for the understanding.

Cheers,

Rui Barbosa Jr.

P.S.: We will arrange so that only people with user name and passwords provided by BELRO will have access, as soon as we choose a nice forum software, which will be hosted on one of the internet providers owned by our companny.
Meanwhile, anyone can go there and read the posts, despite there is no information of interest to people who are not working on casino games for us there.
But, even if by knowing that, you are not working on one of the games and still want to go there, please do not post anything there, as that is supposed to be a private conversation.

Seldon, thank you for helping me with the private forum.

Someone in the companny is going to setup a professional forum for us.
I really did not think that that would be necessary, but looks like public forums are not very useful for professional usage anyways....

I will do some research and choose a nice forum software maybe like the one that the guys use here.
I like the format of the Blitz Forum.

I always liked to use it, because it has always been very useful, but not anymore. BELRO IS going to put up a professional forum, so we can talk there.

The only thing that bothers me is that, by using the Blitz Forum, I was helping Blitz grow, in a certain way, for BELRO was making it clear for people that Bltz is a valuable tool, which can actualy help one make good money.

Anyway... Thank you for your help.

Cheers,

Rui Barbosa Jr.

please do not post anything there, as that is supposed to be a private conversation.
Then why conduct it in public???? Private conversations should be held IN PRIVATE. Comprendez?
but looks like public forums are not very useful for professional usage anyways....
So the penny has finally dropped, has it?? I would have thought common sense might have told you that long ago.

You disappeared for months, your company does not seem to exist, you've lied about e-mailing your business address to people and instead told them to "butt out", you've avoided answering fair and legitimate questions about your business practices, you've failed to supply programmers with media so they can do what they're supposed to be doing. All of the above are textbook hallmarks of a scam-monger. Sorry but I've seen it ALL before.

Now personally, I don't give a damn what you get up to, as long as you're doing it way over there, away from me - all that concerns me is that, in my personal opinion, you're abusing... no, exploiting the users of this forum.

By continually posting rubbish like the above, you're losing what little credibility you had left. If I were you, I'd go away to your little 'forum club' and post your sales spiel there. I think very few people here are 'buying it' any more.

Hansie(Posted 2004) [#6]
@gfk

Amen ... and the fun part of the "new forum" is that ALL questions about contracts etc. are being totally avoided! and there is STILL no official company information, or contact details, or VAT number, or anything!

Rui is a joke, a scam, and I agree with you. let him rip-off those who are not listening to common sense. I feel sorry for our mislead fellow Blitz users ...

GfK(Posted 2004) [#7]
I thought this quote was rather funny:
P.S.: What forum software should we purchase, in order to host this at BELRO's own website?

When only minutes ago in this very thread, he said:
Someone in the companny is going to setup a professional forum for us.
Why ask your 'flock' 'what forum should we purchase' if you already have someone at your 'company' working on it? Plus if your company is so great, how comes you can't code your own forum instead of buying an 'off the shelf' one?

Sorry - none of what you say ever adds up.

GfK(Posted 2004) [#8]
Rui is a joke, a scam, and I agree with you.
I didn't say he was a scam-monger - I said he bore all the hallmarks of one! ;)

@all

http://pub6.dream-tools.net/tools/messages.mv?index+blitzgamblinggames

read all the above ... its hilarious ... makes me laugh more than watching Faulty Towers, which *I* find funny

GfK(Posted 2004) [#10]
I don't like how he is continually avoiding the issue of contracts. All I found to do with contracts was this:
Contracts will be provided, after the game passes the stress testing phase
WTF?! Come on!! You have to write a game AND send it to him BEFORE you get a contract?? That is totally, totally wrong.

I would strongly recommend never EVER working for ANYBODY without two signatures (yours and theirs) on a written PAPER contract beforehand.

If you *do* get ripped off, and ANY company does not deliver what they promise, then you won't have a legal case at all.

Hansie(Posted 2004) [#11]
AND all people involved should force Rui to sign an NDA ... and no-one has ... some people from the community has actually sent him complete and finished games! I am shocked ..

Rui, you surely have no legs to stand on now man....

They give you the complete game, without signing a contract....then what? You really should re-think that one... *super sigh*

Tracer(Posted 2004) [#14]
I still think it weird that with such a large company/companies, he can't simply load a PHPBB onto one of his servers, instead of the monstrosity of a forum (can you even CALL that thing a forum??) they are using now..

Guys, do you think that the programmers who are working with us are stupid?
Some people are pretty stupid, I mean, some people would send us their games with source-code.
Others could send us the game without a copy-protection-mechanism.
I agree that there are really stupid people around, uncapable of thinking of ways of protecting themselves.
Actualy, looks like there are more stupid people than I thougt.
But the guys who are working with us are not stupid.
We did not get any source-code.
And all software is copy-protected or lacks features, so we can not use them as they are, without paying the agreeded price.
See, these programmers who are wrking with us are smart.
After all, I believe that they are the smart programmers here.
Those who believe that a companny could steal their stuff are absolutely stupid or have no clue on how to conduct this kind of business.
Any programmer can send a demo game, and protect that game in such a way that the companny which is trying it can not sell it or profit from it in any way.
But, again, there seems to be sooo many stupid programmers around...
What would you do?
Would you send us your source code?
Would you tell us what algorythms you have used?
Would you send us a complete version of the game, without having a contract signed?
Wouldn't you protect the software in some way?
Wouldn't you at least cut some very important features?
I mean, how stupid can one programmer be?
I have tryied to make Blitz known as a very usefull tool on a market that I am known to be one of the best, in my country.
Many... many compannies have been using Blitz for a while, just because I told them to.
Do you understand how bad you have hurt the community?
Do you have any idea of how smart the programmers who are working with us are?
They know how to protect themselves.
Maybe you don't know how to do that.
And, as far as I can tell, there are too many people around here who wouldn't be capable of protecting their codes.
I did my best, to make Blitz the languae of choice for casino games in my country.
But it all changed this week.
So far, this community has been very supportive, but due the complete lack of respect shown by some, I find that Blitz is not going to do any good for me any more.
Not because of the language itself, because I just love Blitz Plus, myself.
But I can't stand watching stupid wanna-be-programmers telling people how bad a monster our companny is, just ecause they are so stupid that they don't manage to think that people are capable of protecting themselves.

I am tired of seing stupid programmers such as yourselves ineterrupting hardwork and bussiness with non-sense stupidity, and warning people how bad they can be hurt...
You just have no clue about how to protect your code, do you?

How can you be such morons?

That's all that I have to say.

To the Blitz guys...
Sorry for that guys.
B+ is just perfect for us, but the complete absence of netiquete expressed by some members, we no longer are going to use Blitz.
Also, all the compannies that have beenusing it professionaly will be forced to switch to come language with a more experienced community.

Now, you stupid wanna-be-programmers, go somewhere learn how easy it is to protect your code.
You will be amazed with what a couple of IF's can do to your code.

No more for me, please.

Ciao,

/R

That's the statement of a sincere professional ;-)

I rest my case

You will not be missed, Rui

skn3(Posted 2004) [#17]
I think Rui is correct in what he says here, but then it could have been avoided by taking it away from the blitz site a bit earlier.

Although I think it's highly unprofessional, and seems almost childish to say 'were not using b+ now, because of you, you and of course you'. Either way, your not going to find a community using a better language, and your shy away from blitz means less talented people working for you. (those people that actualy WANTED! to work for you, not just bad mouth you)

One thing is for sure, next time you know how to handle something like this, or well you should! know by now...
