Do 2d Games run quicker in blitzplus, than in blitz3d, and if so, anyone any idea of the difference?

I have been told that if you use 2D commands ONLY, 2D is faster in BlitzPlus than 2D in Blitz3D. For that reason - since I only use 2D - I use BlitzPlus and no longer Blitz3D

Yeah that's true but I don't know how big the difference is. Also, B+ has some faster options for plotting large number of pixels individually. Nicoust - I have both B+ and B3D. If u write a demo with a speed counter, I would be happy to run it on both and report back.

Is it realy true? I am blitting some stuff around and checking the fps in Blitz3d and in blitzplus. And it seems that Blitz3d is almost 2 times faster! Is it me or is this strange?

Pixel commands are certainly faster in BlitzPlus. Like you, I've found straight blitting to be slower in BlitzPlus, but as always your mileage may vary according to CPU, videocard and drivers.
