Scrolling

| Hello, I haven't been around due to time constraints- but on any note, here I am with yet ANOTHER anoying question. I have always been confused with scrolling. Is it just one big image were you add x and y to make it appear to move? Or is it a combination of images like a puzzle? What ever it is, it would also help me very much if an example were provided.
