Here's the deal:

you scour the net for a nice free font for your exciting new game concept.

Whip up the graphics and titles, all is good.

Suddenly, out of the blue, you have to get a job, quit a job, get married, get divorced, move out of town; etc.

So your project is temporarily shelved.

Comes the time to pick up the reins again, you have of course reformatted your hard drive and upgraded your OS, and cannot remember the name of that font or where you got it...

I keep telling myself: KEEP A COPY OF ALL FONTS IN THE GAME PROJECT FOLDER !!!!!!

really, its good advice :)

try the following:

http://www.creamundo.com/index.php?lang=en
http://simplythebest.net/fonts/

these are where i get my fonts from. i know its a long shot but you never know.

p.s. do you know how to include a non-standard font as part of the project folder and access it in blitzplus? do you just use loadfont() as usual but change the path?

no, I don't load fonts like that - typically, I find a free font that suits my purpose, and simply use it in my graphics editor to make a bitmap font strip, or to write the menu items etc, and "save as" a png, to be used as a graphic resource in Blitz

and thx for the link good sir :)
